A community leader from the area, who confirmed the abduction to our reporter through telephone on Monday, said the incident happened last Thursday, when the victims were returning from SCC village market in the area.

He said the victims went to sell their cows and were on their way back to Gidan Busa village, when the bandits ambush and whisked them away at gun point.

He said the four women also went to the market to sell their farm produce and boarded a pickup van alongside the three herders when they were also picked up.

He said, “In fact, the pickup van’s driver alongside the three and four women were all abducted by the bandits who ambushed them after leaving SCC village market on Thursday evening,” he said.
