Jigawa launches emergency response to combat disease outbreak

The Jigawa State government has launched an emergency outbreak response to address a recent disease outbreak in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the state’s Ministry of Health, Dr Kabir Ibrahim, announced this after a debriefing with the deputy governor.

He said in collaboration with partner agencies, the ministry is working to contain the spread of the disease and provide medical treatment to those affected.

Dr Ibrahim reassured residents that the government is committed to safeguarding the health of the population.

He also urged parents to ensure their children participate in the vaccination exercise scheduled for the affected local government areas as part of the response plan.
