The Association of Spare Parts Dealers (Pantaker) in the FCT has appealed to the FCT administration under the leadership of Nyesom Wike to allocate a piece of land that will serve as a permanent site to do their business lawfully.
The chairman of the association, Alhaji Auwal Adamu, made the request while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.
He said the association had written to the FCT administration intimating it on the need to have a permanent site where members of the association will do their business comfortably.
He said the association was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) since 2008 with over 5,000 members that are currently temporarily operating at Utako motor park.

According to him, the association’s member were carrying out their business in Wuse market since 1987, before they were relocated to New Central Area by the then FCT minister, Jeremiah Useni, and again relocated Utako in Jabi in 2003.
He said, “In 2022, most of the places we occupied were demolished, which led to a colossal loss of most of our businesses without any compensation and leaving the majority of our members stranded without a definite place of business.”
Adamu said the association was capable of generating 300% revenue to the FCT in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu administration’s drive of generating revenue for the federal government.
The association commended Wike for his ongoing infrastructural development across the territory, and pledged their support to his administration.
