A night guard has caught his friend stealing from a building site he was monitoring in Ezimezi Amawbia, Awka South LGA of Anambra State.
The suspect, Chibuike Okafor (23), was arrested while he was attempting to steal electric wires from the construction site on Sunday night.
Our correspondent gathered that Chibuike, a resident of Egbengwu in Njikoka LGA, had previously visited the site to socialise with his friend, unaware of his true intentions.
He was detained by his friend and a site worker until Monday morning.

A source familiar with the matter said the suspect admitted to stealing electric wires from the site twice before being caught. He claimed that a friend had introduced him to the illicit activity and revealed the identity of their buyer.
The source said he would be handed over to the police.
