The Kwara State Police Command has disclosed the release of one Emeka Nwachukwu, a businessman abducted by bandits from his home in Kosubosu town, headquarters of Baruten LGA.
The police spokeswoman in the state, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, who confirmed the release to our correspondent on Wednesday, said, “Yes, he has been released and our men are still after the kidnappers. But no arrest has been made yet.”
Meanwhile, a source said the victim was released after the payment of N10m.

He said, “They took the money to the kidnappers in the bush around 3am on Sunday. Initially, they demanded N100m, but following negotiations, it was reduced to N10m.”
