Man slaughtered in Yobe

The Yobe State Police Command has disclosed the gruesome killing of a 27-year-old man, Lawan Adamu, whose corpse was found on the outskirts of Nayi-Nawa Bypass in Damaturu.

The command’s spokesman, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, said, “‘A’ Division Police Headquarters in Damaturu received a distress call of a corpse with deep cuts. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the victim with deep cuts on his throat, with wounds on the other parts of the body. They discovered a blood-stained knife at the scene.

He said the corpse was taken to the Damaturu General Hospital.

He further said that efforts by the division led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Yunusa Isa, alias Abba, aged 24.
