2 tricycle riders arrested over theft of passengers’ phones in Lagos

Two tricycle riders, Idowu Lukuman and Sadiq Ahmed, have been arrested over robbery attacks on their passengers.

The suspects were arrested after one of their victims who they robbed at Kola Bus Stop in Alagbado raised alarm.

It was gathered that the suspects would disguise as tricycle riders, also known as Keke Marwa, while scouting for victims.

A police source said the suspect’s collected valuables worth over N200,000 from their last victim before they were arrested.

Lagos State police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed the arrest, said luck ran against the suspects as they were arrested with their Keke.

He said, “Consequently, the victim’s Itel phone was recovered from them. Also recovered from them are small Nokia and Vivo phones. The suspects would soon be charged to court.”
