Two men were on Saturday tied to an electric pole and beaten by a mob after they allegedly stole transformer cables in Kuchiako community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Samaila Ibrahim, said the incident happened around 11pm when the hoodlums invaded a transformer and allegedly removed its cables.
He said a resident who saw the suspects while vandalising the transformer raised alarm, which led to their arrest, adding that vigilantes arrived at the scene and whisked them away.

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, was yet to comment on the incident.
