City & Crime reports that the Rector of the polytechnic, Mr Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, expressed sadness over the incident and promised that justice would be served.

City & Crime gathered that the victim was reportedly shot on his right arm and bled to death after he was arrested on a commercial motorcycle.

The deceased’s brother, Abdullah, told journalists that the victim was stopped and ordered into a police vehicle where officers demanded money from him before they shot him.
