A former Chief Judge (CJ) of Kaduna State, Justice Tanimu Zailani, has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Zailani died in the early hours of Sunday morning after a brief illness at the age of 72.
His funeral prayer was conducted at his Rigachikun residence after which he was buried in the community’s cemetery.
His funeral prayer was attended by many sympathisers, including his brother and former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani; the current CJ, Justice Muhammad Bello Lawal; a former Managing Director of Unity Bank and Danmasanin Zazzau, Alhaji Falalu Bello; traditional leaders; commissioners; permanent secretaries and members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

Justice Zailani was the CJ of the High Court of Kaduna State from 2013 to 2018.
He is survived by four wives, children and grandchildren.
