A man, Dansokoto Shaibu, has been arraigned in a magistrates’ court sitting in Lokoja, Kogi state over alleged homosexual behaviour with his two children.
The police prosecutor, Barrister G.O. Otowu, told the court presided over by Memunat Abdullai, that according to the First Information Report (FIR), the suspect was accused of indulging in sexual intercourse with his 17 and 11-year-old sons in their house contrary to Section 292 of the Kogi State Administration of Criminal Justice.
The prosecutor urged that the accused be remanded in prison pending further investigation.
Meanwhile, the defendant told the court that, “I was under the influence of an alcoholic drink. I took three bottles of beer on the night the incident happened. I regret my action.”

The magistrate granted the prayer of the prosecutor and adjourned the case to September 9.
