Fire guts churches, furniture shop in Oyo

Fire has destroyed two churches and a furniture shop in the Felele area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The General Manager of the state fire service, Yemi Akinyinka, in a statement, said, “The fire, which occurred at No 51, Debo Plaza, opposite Lam Adesina Junction, Felele, Ibadan, affected a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the New Covenant Church, as well as a furniture shop.”

He added that the fire mostly affected plastic chairs and PVC materials used for ceiling.
