Manchester United, on Friday, defeated Fulham 1-0 at Old Trafford in the opening match of the Premier League season.
Debutant Joshua Zirkzee rose off the bench to score in the 87th minute.
The visitors had a huge early chance when Kenny Tete was denied by Andre Onana, before Bernd Leno made a pair of terrific saves from Bruno Fernandes at the other end.
Fernandes also sent one shot into the side netting, while Casemiro missed the target with a trio of efforts, as the finishing from the hosts proved disappointing.

Leno continued to thwart the Red Devils after the break, denying Mason Mount, before making a somewhat more comfortable save from Fernandes.
And just as it looked like time was running out for a winner, Zirkzee superbly angled Alejandro Garnacho’s cross into the far corner, past the despairing dive of Leno, to earn United the win.
