Gov Yusuf puts retired major in charge of newly created ministry on security

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has sworn in Major-General, Muhammad Inuwa Idris (rtd) as the commissioner for the newly created ministry of Home Affairs and Internal security.

The Governor announced the portfolio shortly after inaugurating the new boards of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Yusuf Maitama Sule University and Kano State Polytechnic.

Daily Trust reports that the ministry was created about five months ago but no commissioner assigned until now.
