Lawmakers donate N6m, items to Borno flood victims

Lawmakers representing Borno North have donated N6 million and items to the victims of a recent flood that ravaged Mainok town in Kaga LGA of Borno State.

Presenting the items, the Member representing Kaga/Magumeri/Gubio Federal Constituency, Usman Zannah, said the donation was N3m from Senator Mohammed Tahir Mongunu (Borno North East), N2m from himself and N1m from the state assembly Member, Mustapha Alibe.

He said, “I want to specifically appreciate the federal government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, for their support always.

“I also appreciate Governor Babagana Zulum for sending a high-level delegation headed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Bukar Tijjani, to ascertain the level of flood damage in Mainok.”
