A former reporter with Daily Trust, Aliyu Hamagan, has been attacked and injured by suspected armed robbers in his house in Minna, Niger State.
The victim, who is taking refuge in a friend’s house, told City & Crime that the robbers invaded his house at about 2am during the weekend and attacked him with knives and cutlasses leading to his admission at the Minna General Hospital.
He said the attackers took away his laptop, iPad, iphone, a small phone, among other valuables.
Hamagan said the attackers threatened to kill him if he made any move that would attract neighbours.

The spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said he was not aware of the incident.
