Some hoodlums on Wednesday and Thursday invaded the Umuguma, Owerri residence of the convener of Imo APC Restoration Coalition of the APC, Theodore Ekechi. After failing to meet him in the house, they ransacked the rooms and went away with volumes of files, documents and other personal belongings.
Ekechi, who conducted newsmen around his house yesterday, said the hoodlums entered through the window of the guest room after breaking the burglary proof. According to him, items taken away were estimated at N45 million.
He said he went to the headquarters of the state police command to report the case and some officers from the monitoring unit were detailed to get first hand assessment of the incident. Police spokesman, Andrew Enwerem, said he was yet to get details of the incident.
