Adamawa Partners with NACTEM to Boost Food Security

Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has pledged the commitment of Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration to collaborate with the National Centre for Technology Management (NACTEM) to address the food crisis in the state.

Speaking on Friday, Farauta emphasized that agriculture is a top priority for the government, aimed at enhancing food security and engaging citizens in productive activities.

“The government’s focus on agriculture is crucial in ensuring peace and stability in the state, as it provides people with meaningful opportunities and skills acquisition through various centers,” she explained.

Dr. Olusola Odusanya, Director General of NACTEM, reiterated the agency’s readiness to provide technology-driven solutions to support the state’s agricultural and economic development.

Under the federal ministry of science, technology, and innovation, NACTEM is mandated to promote technology-driven policies across various sectors.

Odusanya highlighted the centre’s expertise in policy research and review, science and technology development, and vocational training, aimed at equipping individuals with globally relevant skills.
