The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced Afam Osigwe as its newly elected president.
Details of the election which held online through the portal: https://go.ecnba.org/results/ showed that Osigwe polled the highest votes.
Osigwe, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), emerged victorious polling 20,435 votes.
He defeated his closest rival, Tobenna Erojikwe, who secured 10,998 votes, and Chukwuma Ikwuazom (SAN), who came third with 9,018 votes.
Osigwe, who was the chariman of the NBA Abuja Branch and the former General Secretary of the NBA, has been elected alongside other executives to replace the Yakubu Maikyau (SAN) led executive.

Other elected executives are: Sabastine Anyia (First Vice President); Mrs Bolatumi Animashaun (Second Vice President); Mrs Zainab Garba (Third Vice President); Dr Mobolaji Ojibara (General Secretary); and Henry Ehi (First General Secretary), among others.
