We have had a great camp; the players have worked extremely hard,” Waldrum said.

“Unfortunately, we’ve had a few come into the camp a little bit late, but the level has been extremely high and the players look very very focused moving forward for the Olympics,” he said.

Meanwhile, the 2004 quarter-finalists Nigeria are scheduled to arrive in the French city of Bordeaux on Thursday (today) night Spain aboard an Air France flight as the countdown begins for their first outing at the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in 16 years.

The delegation of 18 players, four alternate players and officials is scheduled to arrive at the team’s Hotel Mercure abode minutes before midnight.
