A man and his wife have been crushed to death while returning from their farm in Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to reports, the accident involved a Mercedes Benz car and a motorcycle and occurred around 3pm on Sunday near the Abaji General Hospital junction.
The victims, Alhaji Musa Baba and his wife, Mallama Fatima Baba, were knocked down by the vehicle while heading back home.
While Alhaji Baba died on the spot, his wife passed away at the hospital where she was rushed to.
The victims have since been interned according the Islamic rites.
Malam Ishaq Baba Tsana, Deputy Imam of Abaji Central Mosque, led the funeral prayers of the duo at the Abaji Science Primary School.
A community leader, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Musa Muhammad (ARADA) condoled with the family of the deceased and the entire Bassa Community Abaji, over passing of the couple.
Dr. Musa prayed to Allah to repose the souls of the victims and grant them Jannah.
He also prayed to Allah to comfort their family, friends and the entire Bassa Community, Abaji Area Council.
He said, “We will continue to pray Allah to forgive them of their shortcomings and grant them an exalted place in Jannah.”
