“The integrity test will involve a comprehensive assessment of the camp’s buildings to evaluate their durability and safety standards,” he explained.

Following last week’s collapse of a female hostel bathroom wall, which injured two corps members at the camp, construction work commenced on Monday morning to install 45 units of modern toilet facilities as directed by the governor.

Additionally, Governor Oyebanji instructed the state electricity board to install solar-powered electricity at the camp to address immediate needs for enhanced infrastructure.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by the NYSC camp, Governor Oyebanji assured corps members of his administration’s commitment to their safety and welfare.

In response to your requests, we will take immediate action where necessary. Solar lighting will be installed promptly. The first step is to conduct an integrity test on all camp buildings. Those found unsuitable will be discontinued,” the governor affirmed.
