Prof Mustapha also said scientists will discuss biotechnological approaches to pollution reduction, climate change mitigation, and conservation.

The DG said the conference’s goals include fostering innovation and cooperation to advance healthcare solutions, increase agricultural productivity, and create jobs and industrial growth.

“The knowledge shared at the conference can empower local researchers, scientists, and entrepreneurs to innovate and compete on a global scale. This can attract foreign investment, partnerships, and collaborations, further boosting the economic impact of biotechnology advancements,” he said.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former president Goodluck Jonathan, and ministers of health, agriculture and environment will lead the conversation at the events.

The conference is also expected to showcase exhibitions of various technologies in agriculture, health, environment, molecular biology, industrial biotechnology and other areas.
