Suspected bandits in police net after raid on camps

About six suspected bandits have been arrested during a joint security raid by police and soldiers on two bandits’ camps in forests in Kaduna and Niger states.

The FCT Commissioner of Police (CP), Benneth Igweh, who disclosed this while parading the suspects in Abuja on Saturday, said the operation was carried out from Thursday to Friday in Gidan Dogo and Jere forests of Kaduna and Niger states respectively which bordered the FCT.

CP Igweh, who gave the names of the suspects as Yunusa Musa, Isiyaka Adamu, Kare Gambo, Aminu Musa and Muhammed Ibrahim, said they confessed to having been involved in a string of kidnappings in the FCT and its environs.
