Gunmen have shot dead a woman around the Continuing Education Centre, off NTA Road, in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
A witness said the gunmen came on a motorcycle and attempted to snatch the woman’s bag while she was waiting for a means of transportation.

When contacted, the Ekiti State Police Command’s spokesman, DSP Sunday Abutu, said it was a robbery incident.
Abutu said the sum of N40,280 was found in the victim’s bag, adding that her body had been deposited in the morgue and that the police were on the trail of the criminals.
