Tundun Biri: We’ve disbursed over N275m to drone attack victims –Gov  Sani

The Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, says that his administration has disbursed over N275 million from Public and private individuals to victims of Tudun Biri military drone attack on the state.
The governor further appealed to other individuals and all those who made pledges when the incident occured in December 2023 to kindly redeem them.
He made the disclosure during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Resettlement Scheme for Person’s Impacted by Conflicts (RSPIC) at Tudun Biri village of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Friday.
The resettlement scheme was flagged off by Vice President Kashim Shatima who later joined other Muslim faithful for Juma’at prayer alongside other top government officials, including the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi.
Governor Sani in his speech lauded President Bola Tinubu for picking Tudun Biri for the groundbreaking of the resettlement scheme of the persons impacted by conflicts.
He said, “Our profound appreciation to our dear President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for picking Tudun Biri for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflicts.
“This is a clear demonstration of Mr. President’s commitment to wiping off the tears of the Tudun Biri people, and indeed the poor, vulnerable and underserved in our country.
“Mr. President feels the pains of the internally displaced persons and all those affected by conflicts in our country. He recognizes the fact that decent accommodation and essential infrastructure are critical to the preservation of human dignity.
“We have disbursed over N275,000,000 from money donated by individuals, public and private institutions. I want to use this opportunity to appeal to all those who made pledges to please redeem them, as Mr. President and the Vice President have done.”
According to the governor, under this project, handled by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), 4 resettlement communities will be built in Igabi, Ikara, Giwa and Kauru LGAs for internally displaced victims of banditry, adding that  houses, hospitals and schools would be built to enable the victims start life afresh.
