Three vigilantes have been arrested for criminal conspiracy, trespass, burglary, receiving and trading in stolen goods in Damaturu, Yobe State.
The spokesman of the Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, said the suspects were arrested after a distress call was received from a shop owner in Damaturu who had employed vigilantes for guard duty.

He said investigation led to the arrest of Ibrahim Mohammed (24) and Hassan Umar (25) who were found in possession of some stolen materials, adding that the suspects implicated another vigilante in the crime, who was also arrested.
