The police in Niger State have arrested one Zingfa Nambon, a resident of Gwagwalada, Abuja, who specialises in tricycle snatching and killing of operators in Minna, the state capital.
The spokesperson of the Niger State police command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who paraded the suspect alongside others, said Nambon and his accomplice, one Francis Moses, now at large, boarded a tricycle around airport road, Maikunkele, and getting to a point along the road, the suspects forcefully tied the tricyclist with cable wire and pushed him out of the vehicle.
He said, “On May 22, 2024 at 1730hrs, police operatives attached to Bosso Division, arrested one Zingfa Nambon of Gwagwalada area, Abuja over conspiracy, attempted homicide and armed robbery. This was based on information received, that on May 3, 2024, about 1900hrs, a tricycle was boarded around airport road, Maikunkele by two persons, later identified as Zingfa Nambon and Francis Moses. On getting to a point along the road, the two persons forcefully tied the tricyclist with a cable wire with intent to kill him.
“The victim was pushed out of the tricycle and they made away with it. Zingfa said the tricycle was taken to Abuja and Francis gave him N400,000 and he disappeared to an unknown destination with the tricycle.”

Abiodun said Zingfa was arrested along Maikunkele road and he confessed to the crime, adding that he was arrested with various blank tricycle receipts and cable wire.
