Internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Mangu and Bokkos local government areas of Plateau State have received much-needed relief materials and cash from Plan International, Nigeria, in partnership with other non-governmental organisations.
During a presentation in Mangu community of Mangu Local Government Area, non-food items and N60,000 were distributed to each household/beneficiary.
Hanoch Hebron, the Gender Advisor for Plan International, spoke at the event, noting that the donation was a collaborative effort with ActionAid, Christian Aid, and supported by Start Network.

The non-food items included mattresses, bowls, mosquito nets, flashlights, blankets, laundry/bathing soap, as well as kitchen accessories, such as knives, plates and spoons.
Hebron emphasised that these items were intended to help households restore their dignity and meet basic needs, enabling them to resume normal life despite the crisis.
