Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the director-general of the Nigeria Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof Suleiman Abubakar, among others, have sent their condolences to the Saraki family following the passing of their matriarch, Chief (Mrs) Florence Morenike Saraki.
Mrs Saraki passed away in a Lagos State hospital on Tuesday after reportedly slipping into a coma at an intensive care facility due to age-related health challenges.
Governor AbdulRazaq extended his condolences to former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, former Minister of State for Transport, Gbemisola Saraki, Mr Olaolu Saraki and the entire family.
He urged the Sarakis to take solace in the enduring legacies of their mother and prayed for the repose of her soul and strength for the family.

Prof Abubakar expressed sorrow over the incident, acknowledging Mrs Saraki’s significant contributions to her family and the country.
Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari described the late matriarch as a remarkable mother, a woman of great virtue, and a beloved wife, whose life and service to humanity would be remembered forever.
A former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof Ali Ahmad, lamented the sad and unexpected passing of the matriarch, noting Mrs Saraki’s role as a unifier and devoted mother.
