Two face trial for impersonation in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned two persons, Emmanuel Peter, (25) and Noah Adeyemi (25), in an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over alleged breach of peace and impersonation.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on June 8, at about 10am in Ido-Ekiti, the suspects impersonated members of the armed forces.

Inspector Oriyomi said the defendants on the same date, time and place, did in a public place conduct themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.

Counsel  to the defendants, Barrister A. A. Ayobioloja, urged the court to admit them to bail, saying they would not jump bail and would provide credible surety.

The Magistrate, Mr. A. O. Owoleso, granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety each and adjourned the case to August 6, for hearing.
