The leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the FCT, Alhaji Zakari Angulu Dobi, has said that there is serious hunger in the land and urged the Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Cuncil, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Giri, to prioritise stomach infrastructure.
Dobi, who was the FCT APC senatorial candidate during the last general elections, made the call when he received the chairman, alongside the FCT party chairman and other executives, in his private residence in Dobi community on Tuesday.
He said there was the need for the chairman to sit with the members of his cabinet to design how to come up with stomach infrastructure, which he noted would go a long way to tackle hunger in the council.
He said, “In fact, I am quite elated with some of the achievements the council chairman has listed as part of his two years in office. But I want to advice that the chairman should include stomach infrastructure in the list of his achievements because there is hunger in the land.”
