At least two persons have been confirmed dead and many injured in an accident involving a trailer and five other vehicles along the Abuja-Keffi Expressway on Tuesday.
Witnesses said the driver lost control of the truck and rammed into other vehicles following break system failure opposite building material, Mararaba.
Another version of the story was that four persons lost their lives and many more were injured. Our correspondent, however, could not independently confirm the figure as at the time of filing the report.
However, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Chorrie Isah Muta’a, told Daily Trust that only two persons had so far been confirmed dead.

“Two people died in the accident, which happened about two hours ago (around 4pm yesterday). It involved a trailer loaded with fertiliser. The driver lost control after the break of the trailer failed. It rammed into five vehicles, out of which one was badly damaged, from where two passengers lost their lives,” Muta’a told Daily Trust.
The sector commander said road safety personnel were deployed to the scene of the accident to control traffic.
