Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has charged Frontline officers of the Operation Delta Safe to be part of those that can proffer solution to the challenges confronting the nation.
General Musa who played host to Frontline Troops of Operation Delta Safe on Eid -El- Kabir luncheon in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, lauded the officers for their sacrifices and efforts in protecting critical assets and economy of the country, especially in the Niger Delta region which he described as economic hub.
He said sacrifice made by the officers of Operation Delta Safe in protecting the critical assets of the country would not be taken for granted.
“I am deeply honoured to stand before you for the sacrifices you have shown in protecting our national interest. Your sacrifice and dedication shall never be in vain,” he stated.
General Musa maintained that the sacrifice and dedication to duty by the officers and the collaboration with other sister organizations in the fight against economic crime in the Niger Delta region played a huge role in safeguarding national asset as well as the promotion of economic activities that are vital to the country.
Earlier in his welcome address, Commander Joint Taskforce of Operation Delta Safe, Real Admiral Johnson Okeke, said the visit by the Chief of Defence of Staff had given them the opportunity to celebrate this year’s Sallah.
Real Admiral Okeke also appreciated efforts of the troops for their sacrifices as well as other components of their services made particularly to the Armed forces and the country at large, pointing out that operation joint taskforce is a collaborative mission of the South South operation Delta Safe which covers 10 state and adjoining areas.
