Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has laid the foundation for the construction of 85 kilometres of roads and a bridge valued at N21 billion.
The roads include 70km from Bridge Madobi to Madobi town, through Yako to Kafin Mai Yaki, culminating in Kiru.
A second project features a 15km road and a 200m bridge from Madobi town to Kubarachi to Kura.
In a statement, the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the projects would redefine Kano’s rural landscape and enhance the livelihoods of the populace.

In a ceremony graced by distinguished guests, including the National Leader and former NNPP presidential candidate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, the governor assured that the projects would be completed within 18 and 24 months respectively.
