Comrade Awoyinfa Opeoluwa, Immediate Past PRO, NANS Southwest, has described Eid-al-Adha as a time of reflection, gratitude, and sharing with those in need.
Opeoluwa, in a statement personally signed by him, congratulated the Muslim faithful and prayed that the occasion brings happiness, blessings, and fulfillment to their lives and communities
The statement said: “On behalf of all Muslim Nigerian students, stakeholders, and citizens across the country, I, Comrade Awoyinfa Opeoluwa (OPIANO), extend warm greetings and heartfelt wishes on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha.
“Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, holds great significance in the Islamic calendar as it commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and sharing with those in need.
“As we come together to celebrate this joyous occasion, let us remember the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity that Eid-al-Adha represents. Let us extend a helping hand to those less fortunate, foster harmony and understanding among all communities, and strive for a society built on mutual respect and tolerance.
“In the spirit of Eid-al-Adha, let us reaffirm our commitment to peace, justice, and solidarity. Let us embrace diversity and celebrate our shared humanity as we work towards a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
“I wish all Muslim Nigerian students, stakeholders, and citizens a blessed Eid-al-Adha filled with joy, peace, and prosperity. May this auspicious occasion bring happiness, blessings, and fulfillment to your lives and communities.”
