Bandits allow Kaduna farmers to return to field after collecting N6.2m, 4 bags of rice

Bandits have reportedly asked some rural farmers in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State to go ahead with their farming activities after they collected N6.2 million and four bags of rice from them.

City & Crime earlier reported that bandits on May, 21, 2024, chased away farmers who were cultivating their farms at Unguwar Jibo and Nasarawa-Azzara communities and asked them to raise N100,000 each before they would be allowed to continue.

It was learnt that before accepting the 6N.2m, the bandits last week rejected N725,000 the farmers raised for them, saying it was too meagre, and asked the farmers to ensure they brought something bigger.
