Woman scalds son, sister with knife in Bayelsa

A mother of two, Brenda Sunday, has allegedly burnt her seven-year-old son and 10-year-old sister with a knife in the Etegwe axis in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, over alleged theft.

The woman, who hails from Ogbia LGA, confessed that she took the action out of anger because her younger son stole somebody’s belongings, an act she said he displayed over the years which brought shame to her.

City & Crime learnt that the woman was arrested by members of the Bayelsa State Volunteers, the state-owned security outfit, who whisked her away to the Akenfa Police Division.
