Two people were in the early hours of Tuesday killed in a road accident involving a Mack tanker and a Toyota Dyna pickup on the Onitsha-Awka highway in Awkuzu in Anambra State.
A witness said the Mack tanker had a brake failure and crushed into the Dyna truck thereby killing two people.

The spokeswoman of the State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State, Margaret B Onabe, who attributed the cause of the crash to brake failure, said seven persons were involved and two died.
