Suspected motorcycle thieves have stabbed a commercial motorcyclist, Benjamin Musa, to death in Kwaku village in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Ishaya Bamayi, explained that on Tuesday around 5pm two hoodlums who pretended to be timber operators hired the cyclist to convey them to Geshe community, but that after about a kilometre they forced the cyclist to stop.
He said, “After they forced the cyclist to stop in the middle of a forest, they dragged him down and stabbed him with a knife, after which they used a cloth to tie his mouth and escape with his motorcycle.”
He further said that the cyclist’s corpse was discovered by the roadside by a farmer, who alerted vigilantes in Kwaku, who mobilised to the scene, evacuated the corpse and handed it over to the deceased’s family.
