A kidney patient, Chikeze Davidson Nwanokwara, has cried out to corporate bodies and good spirited individuals to help him live again by securing a N14.8million kidney transplant.
Nwanokwara according to the medical report signed by Dr R.S Zasi for the Consultant Physician Nephrologist at the Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre Abuja, needs the N14.8 million as estimated cost for renal transplant and drugs in its facility.
The report also indicated that Nwanokwara, 38, is a patient in the Zenith facility, “who is being managed of end stage kidney disease secondary to long standing Diabetes Mellitus and Systemic Hypertension.
He is currently placed on maintenance haemodialysis twice weekly.
The report also indicated that, “kidney transplantation is the option of renal replacement therapy as it offers better quality of life and reduces risk of mortality.”
“Also, without kidney transplant the progenies are poor. The kidney transplant surgery will be performed in our facility (Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre).”
Meanwhile, Nwanokwara said he wants to live again and appealed to Nigerians to help him financially carry out the required surgery.
