The FCT Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on the last batch of intending pilgrims in the FCT to report to camp for the last flight on Tuesday by 9am.
In a statement, the spokesman of the board, Mohammad Aliyu Lawal, directed all the intending pilgrims in batches nine and 10 to report at the FCT Hajj Camp in uniform and with original receipt of payment.
The statement reads in part: “The board regrets the slight adjustment of the flight. This adjustment was communicated on Monday by the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) which has allotted us a flight for Wednesday. This is all geared towards smooth airlifting of all the intending pilgrims within stipulated time.”
City & Crime reports that the eighth flight from the board took off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on May 26, with 310 pilgrims, bringing the total airlifted to 2,461.
