A combined team of security operatives has apprehended one of the suspects in connection with the abduction of four travellers in Irun Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government area of Ondo State.
His arrest is coming barely a day after the travellers who were returning from a function were seized by the armed bandits.
The travellers were abducted Saturday around 6 pm while en route Irun through Imesi town, a close border community with Ekiti and Ondo states.
Adetunji Adeleye, the commander of the Amotekun Corps in the state, had confirmed the abduction of travellers, saying his men are currently on trial for the bandits.
