A former vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof Ayodeji Banjo, has passed on at the age of 90.
A family source said he died in the early hours of Friday, May 24, 2024, exactly 22 days after his 90th birthday.

Prof. Ayo Banjo, as popularly known, is the longest serving VC of UI having served from 1984 to 1991.

He was an Emeritus Professor of English Language and pro-chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.
