Men of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a man, David Ikama (62), for allegedly peddling illicit drugs.
The command’s spokesman, Edafe Bright, who disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday, said the suspect was arrested by the operatives of Dragon Patrol’s Teams 25 and 31 while on a stop-and-search duty on the Kwale-Ogwashi-Uku highway.

He explained that the suspect, the driver of a Toyota Hiace with Reg No: FST 210 XD, conveying passengers from Onitsha to Warri was intercepted by the operatives and that when the passengers were subjected to a search some bags loaded with illicit drugs were discovered.
He gave a breakdown of the drugs as 1,266 bottles of codeine syrup, 604 tablets of tramadol, 54 tablets of swinol and 90 sachets of rohypnol.
