EFCC arrests 25 ‘yahoo yahoo’ suspects in sting operations

Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 25 persons for offences bordering on suspected internet fraud.

The suspects were arrested during two separate sting operations at various locations in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The arrest of the latest suspects, the commission said, followed credible intelligence about their activities.

The latest development is coming on the heels of a renewed onslaught against the menace by the anti-graft body.

Items recovered from the suspects, according to EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, include six exotic cars, different brands of phones and laptops.

He said the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of ongoing investigations.
