The mother, who is divorced from the victims’ father and married to another man, said she reopened the case at the Jakara Police Division and made it a court case after she discovered that the victims’ father withdrew the case and persuaded her to “just leave the matter for reasons best known to him.”

She lamented that the police released the suspect on bail.

She, therefore, called on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to intervene so as to ensure that justice was done to her children.

Also speaking, one of the victims, who is not up to eight years old, said he and his elder brother (10) were lured and abused by the suspect often and threatened with harm if they told anyone.

He said despite the threat, they reported the matter to their father, who asked them to keep it a secret. The boy confirmed that before they started treatment, worms were coming out from his anus, while his brother still passed out faeces uncontrollably.

Reacting, the Kano State Commissioner for Women, Children and the Disabled, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji, has vowed to take legal action against a man who sodomised the two underaged children of his friend.

The Director, Public Enlightenment in the ministry, Aisha Haruna, said the commissioner, was shocked by the level of damage done to the boys. Aisha said, “When she learnt about the case, she made instant efforts to secure a government legal luminary that will see the victims through legal victory against the culprit.

“She also settled a debt accrued from months of treatment of the victims who are yet to fully recover from the injuries sustained in their anuses.
