The Plateau State government has announced the completion of a state-of-the-art drugs and commodities warehouse to tackle the proliferation of counterfeit medical products in the state.
Cletus Shurkuk, the Commissioner of Health, revealed the development during a press briefing in Jos, the state capital.

He said the warehouse, with an estimated value of N590,458,290, will serve as a pivotal storage facility for a wide range of drugs and other essential medical commodities, which will subsequently be made available to the public.
Shurkuk said the construction of the warehouse was prompted by the establishment of the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency, aimed at bolstering the storage and efficient distribution of medical supplies across the state.
