A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of two men, Kayode Seun and Godwin Festus, over conspiracy, fraud, cybercrime and bribing police officers.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that there was a probable cause to order the remand of Kayode Seun and Godwin Festus as they were reasonably suspected to have committed conspired, defraud and were in possession of one Mercedes Benz CLA car reasonably suspected to have been stolen.
The prosecutor also alleged that the defendants also offered to bribe police officers with N485,000 on April 22, 2024, at 11am in Ikere-Ekiti.
Counsel to the defendants, Iyanu Olumuagun, withdrew her appearance for reasons best known to her.
