Seven people have been reportedly killed by bandits at Tudun Bici, Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to locals’ accounts, bandits, numbering over 50, invaded the community on Friday and were shooting sporadically in every direction. They added that before they retreated into the bush, they killed seven members of the community.
The district head of the village, Dagacin Tudun Bici, Alhaji Muhammadu Mikailu, while narrating their ordeal to Governor Nasir Idris during his visit to the community, pleaded with him to deploy more security operatives to the area against future attack.
While condoling the district head over the death of seven members in his community, the governor assured that more security personnel would be deployed to Tudun Bici to protect the people and their property against further attack.

Similarly, gunmen have reportedly killed three villagers at their farms in Ogbaulu community of Agatu Local Government Area in Benue State.
Locals said that the incident happened on Friday afternoon while the trio were working on their various farms.
“Three persons were slaughtered again by unknown gunmen on Friday on their farms in Ogbaulu community,” a local who preferred anonymity said.
Council Chairman of Agatu LGA, Yakubu Ochepo, told our correspondent that the assailants came through the Apa axis and attacked their victims whom they hacked to death on the spot.
Ochepo said two of the victims were natives of Agatu while one of them hailed from Apa, a neighbouring LGA, which in recent times had been under siege of armed invaders.
The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro, has frowned at the continued killings in parts of his senatorial district by suspected herdsmen.
Moro worried that Apa, Agatu and Otukpo LGAs have been under bloody attacks by the armed men, leading to wanton destruction of lives and property.
Also, the paramount ruler of Idoma Kingdom, Och’Idoma, Dr. John Eliagwu Odogbo, has condemned the recent spate of attacks within Agatu and its environs.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Benue Command, SP Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls or texts put through her telephone for comment on the incident.
